Mission statement / vision:
De Waterlelie (The Waterlily) is a school where every child can learn in a challenging environment. An environment where children can feel safe, learn to be confident and learn to appreciate each other. De Waterlelie a dynamic school where every child learns with pleasure and learns how to get the best out of themselves.
One of our objectives for the coming years is to learn how we can use technology to better suit individual educational needs of pupils. The vision of the school on ICT is that technology should support teaching and learning for the purpose to improve on learning results, for instance in mathematics, reading and writing. In 2017-2018 De Waterlelie uses tablets to make children more responsible for their own learning. Pupils of De Waterlelie are used to working with setting personal learning goals, for different subjects.
The digital learning environment cannot be ignored in today’s society and the society of tomorrow, and it has a prominent role in the teaching and learning at De Waterlelie.

School IT infrastructure:
De Waterlelie are using mobile devices for the last three years. In the first years of the implementation of the mobile devices the more experienced teachers used the devices a lot more than other teachers. Last year the school started using Snappet in every class. Snappet is a content provider for subjects like mathematics and language/writing and uses an adaptive learning environment which adapts to the personal learning situation of the pupil. Every pupil has his own ‘Snappet’ for the subject of mathematics. Teachers provide the instruction, and pupils work on their assignments in Snappet.
De Waterlelie has two classes with a tablet for every pupil, and 8 classes that work with Snappet, small tablet devices. Every classroom is provided with an interactive touchscreen and three desktopcomputers.
School subjects planned to be involved in DEIMP project:
The subjects of history, geography and biology are going to be included in the DEIMP-project.
Number of teachers involved: 1 or 2
Previous project experiences: We have no previous experience with a ErasmusPlus KA 1 grant application but are very much interested in participating in a grant application for DEIMP job shadowing and the course attendance. We would like to offer our colleagues the opportunity for job shadowing and are open for hosting colleagues from other DEIMP-project-partners.
