We created a MOOC to support teachers and teacher educators in designing, evaluating and sharing innovative pedagogical activities or scenarios that embrace the use of mobile technologies as tools for teaching and learning. The course follows the ADDIE design model, a tried and tested approach to designing educational activities. The course closely cooperates with the app, and during the training course participants explore how to use the app to gain inspiration for new mobile learning activities and to share the mobile learning scenarios they have created yourself with a wider audience of educators.
We ran a first pilot of the MOOC with the project partner schools in February-April 2019.
We are now improving the MOOC to have it ready for the second round, which will start in October 2019 (Europe) and in February 2020 (Australia). If you are interested in participating in the second round, subscribe to our newsletter to get all the necessary information.
Full pilot and trial of MOOC and mobile learning app: October - December, 2019
Building on the success and lessons from the first pilot of the DEIMP MOOC which was run in Spring, 2019, we are now launching a revised full pilot version which will run for 12 weeks from October 1st, 2019 to 20th December, 2019. This version of the MOOC will include access to the prototype app which will run on any mobile device.
