We created an online course to support teachers and teacher educators in designing, evaluating and sharing innovative pedagogical activities or scenarios that embrace the use of mobile technologies as tools for teaching and learning. The course follows the ADDIE design model, a tried and tested approach to designing educational activities. The course closely cooperates with our app, and during the training course participants explore how to use the app to gain inspiration for new mobile learning activities and to share the mobile learning scenarios they have created with a wider audience of educators.
We ran a first pilot of the online course with the project partner schools in February-April 2019. Based on feedback from participants and coaches in the first pilot, we adapted the course.
The second run of the online course (in close cooperation with our app) will take place in October-December 2019.
The course is open for teachers of all educational levels that want to learn more about innovative use of mobile technology in (and outside) the classroom. The course is a mix of individual assignments, reading, videos, good examples, feedback from coaches and peers, forum discussions and live webinars.
The course will be in English, but it is also possible to submit your assignments in Dutch or in Greek, as we have coaches from Belgium, the Netherlands, Cyprus, the UK, Ireland and Australia.
