School IT infrastructure: Our school has a computerlab with 32 computers. Each classroom has a number of computers and a touchscreen digital whiteboard. There is an internal network with wireless Internet throughout the school. Currently, we also have 20 iPads available. The vision of the school on the pedagogic use of technology is focused on differentiation in the classroom. ICT can support the teacher in organizing instruction for smaller groups, and thus give more individual attention to pupils.
ICT has an important position in the vision of our school for achieving effective and meaningful education. In addition to practicing skills and processing the curriculum through method-bound software, a digital learning environment offers many opportunities to further develop and design effective and attractive education. The digitial learning environment cannot be ignored in today’s society and the society of tomorrow, and it has a prominent role at the Duinoordschool.
