In July, 2019 Professor Burden was invited to give a keynote presentation on the DEIMP project at the 8th International Workshop on Learning Technology for Education Challenges (LTEC) conference, held at the University of Salamanca in Zamora, Spain. The presentation was attended by over 150 researchers and academics from universities around the world including Taiwan, China, Chile, Australia, Argentina, and Europe itself. In the presentation Professor Burden explored how the use of futures research methodologies, the subject of a recent book written by himself and colleagues in the University of Technology Sydney and the University of Cambridge (REF), can be used to postulate alternative learning scenarios for innovative mobile learning.
